General Questions

How long does the process usually take?
Our process is broken into two parts. You will receive a digital proof from us in 2 business days, after we receive your questionnaire. We will then revise the design and perfect the invitation with you. From the moment we receive your signed proof agreement and any final payment due, we need around eight days or less, to print, cut, package and send the order. If you special order paper or have a special request, this may make our turnaround longer. We will let you know how this might affect your timeline. We strive to make sure you receive your invitations before you need them. 

Can I get a sample of the invitation I’m interested in using?
Yes, we sell our samples under the sample button. Let us know which collection sample you would like in the notes section. Look here for a quick link.

Can I get my sample customized?
No, sorry. We can not customize samples.

Can I get place cards, menus, thank you cards, and more made for my wedding?
Yes, we design matching reception items for all of our designs. Reception stationery is always based on your needs for your reception. It can be dramatically different from one wedding to the next and we find it fun to create a cohesive wedding look for our clients. If you purchase your wedding invitations from us, we give you a 25% discount on the reception stationery.

Can I have a custom map made for me?
Yes, we add custom maps to our invitations, inserts for wedding welcome bags and envelope liners. There is a $125 design cost associated with a custom map that allows you 5 places on the map along with the fun local color we add to the design. Let us know that you are interested in this option and we can add it to your order. See some of our custom designed maps here.

Can I have a discount?
While we understand the needs for budgets, we have priced our invitations very carefully to give you the best quality paper and design at the price point we quote. We are lucky enough to be able to not worry about a storefront or selling wholesale, so we can use those profits to give you a great deal on things that will show, great papers, professional printing and luxurious envelopes. We do give a price break on orders over 250.

Can you print on cheaper paper so it costs less?
No, part of our view of a wonderful wedding invitation is the use of premium papers. All our packages use premium papers.

Can I order extra envelopes for my calligrapher?
Sure. We do send a couple extra envelopes with your order, but you or your calligrapher will want more if you are addressing these by hand.

Can you design a fully custom invitation for me?
Yes, we love to design bespoke or fully custom orders. We do a limited number per year. Please contact us here.

Do you send extra envelopes automatically?
Yes, we send a couple extra envelopes with each order.

Do your prices include shipping and sales tax costs?
No, we do not include shipping or sales tax within our orders or estimates. If you have your invitations shipped to an address in Illinois, we will have to charge sale tax. Shipping prices are based on a combination of weight and your location. Normal shipping costs for 100 ~ package B invitation suites within the USA, cost around $21.95.

How much do your invitations cost?
We strongly believe that getting married is expensive and you should never pay for anything you do not need. With this in mind, we let you purchase your invitations in two ways that allow you to only buy what you need and love. Our smallest package would be the invitation and envelope which is $2.60 per invitation. You can view a list of some of our popular combinations and packages here.

How much is the deposit?
We currently do not have a deposit option on our website. You can purchase our invitations with a deposit through our Etsy site here. The deposit is $100.00. Final payment is due before we print.

If I need to cancel our order, do I get my deposit back?
It depends upon the situation. We will gladly refund the complete deposit if no work has been done on your order. If we have received your questionnaire and started work on your invitation design, then we will charge our normal hourly design rate against the time that was spent working on your order and refund whatever amount is left from your deposit. Our normal rate is $65.00 per hour. If you are postponing your wedding date to the future because of an emergency, we will gladly put the order on hold, change the information to fit the new situation and then print your invitations for you.

What if I need a reprint?
We are glad to reprint your invitations. Due to one time set up fees associated with printing and cutting your order, we have to charge a $100 reprint fee. We strongly suggest ordering a small amount over the number you need. Industry standard is 10%.

What’s the minimum number of invitations I can order?
Our minimum order is 50 invitations. We will gladly print less, but will still charge you for the minimum order of 50.

Will you print a file I have?
Sorry, but we use a professional press and programs. We have our files set up in a certain way for our work flow.

What is your return policy?
Due to the custom nature of wedding invitations, returns and exchanges are not accepted. We carefully check invitations before we ship them out. However, if there is a problem we will gladly fix the error.

Customizing Your Invitation

I have an unusual wording situation or I’m not sure what to say on my invites. Can you help me?
Sure, we pride ourselves on helping our clients and would love to chat with you about your specific situation. We can help you sort out any kind of question; wording situations are our specialty. Feel free to contact us.

What is a revision?
We will gladly change colors, fonts, move things and fix spelling mistakes during a revision. We will not dramatically change graphics, styles, or layout totally new wording. Please have your wording firm prior to starting and share your wording with any interested parties for grammar or spelling mistakes before we start.

What if I need more than four rounds of revisions?
We would be glad to revise your invitation beyond four rounds. Each additional round cost $25.00.

What items can be customized?
Any item you see on our website can be customized. Our designs are created using professional illustrator programs that allow us to change the color of all the graphics, from flowers, to dots and beyond. We can customize items beyond what we show on our website. We will gladly print napkins, matchbooks, pencils, pint glasses, koozies and anything else you might need or want with custom logos, quotes or graphics.

Can I use artwork I had made for me on the invitation?
Yes, if you commissioned artwork and own the right to reproduce it, we can use it on your invitation. We will need the artist to send us professional files of the artwork with a release that allows us to use if specifically for your wedding invitations. Contact us, so we can send you the specific information.

Can I get colored envelopes?
Package A and B have the option of using our stocked envelopes. Package C includes the option of 89 colors of envelopes. We will order them at the same time we order your pocketfolds. If your package does not include colored envelopes, we can always special order them for a $25 shipping fee. Find out more on our Defining Details page.

I found another designer’s invitation. Can you copy it for me?
No, sorry. It is illegal to copy another person’s design. We would be glad to help you figure out what element excites you and use it as inspiration to create a new bespoke design. Contact us here to start the process.

Review and Approve Proofs

Can I get a hard proof instead of a digital proof?
Yes, we will send you a hard proof (one printed with your information and mailed to you) for $25. This will add at least one week to our turn around. We suggest that you choose to overnight shipping option for an extra for $19.95.

Will you proofread my text?
No, in this day and age with alternative spellings for names, addresses and such, we find that we have more questions than answers. So we do not proofread anyone’s invitation. You will have to sign a proof agreement prior to shipping that states you are responsible for all wording and spelling of your invitations.

Will the color on the invitation exactly match my computer monitor?
Your printed stationery may not match what you see on your monitor. All printed invitations will be close to the colors shown on our printed color chart, and we use the same press to print both the color chart and your invitations. Due to the custom nature of printing, these colors can vary slightly and may not match perfectly. We always make sure each order looks beautiful and that the color as true as possible.

What if there is a typo?
We are here to help you and want you to be happy with your invitations. As soon as you receive your invitation, please look over it, carefully. If something is incorrect, we would be glad to fix the issue. If there is a typo that was on the approved proof agreement, we are not at fault, but would love to fix the issue with a reprint at a reduced rate.

Does my invitation come assembled?
We ship all invitations flat to protect the invitations. You will need to purchase double sided tape to adhere the bellybands together. We like Scotch brand.

Will you assemble all the elements of my invitations?
We ship all elements flat to protect the invitation and allow you to add your postage. But, if you would like us to assemble your invitations for you, we would be glad to do this. There is a $1.00 charge for packages A,B or C. We are glad to assemble other invitations suites, but you will need a custom quote on assembling. We also charge you for your postage and there is a small up-charge for shipping the invitations this way.

Can I print the invites myself?
No we do not sell digital files at this time. We have in the past but find that we prefer to control the quality of the invitation with our own staff.

Can you mail my invitations directly to my guests for me?
Yes, we will mail your invitations directly, if our schedule allows it. Please contact us for more information and to see if we have room in our schedule for this. There is an extra fee for this and the cost of your postage.

Can you overnight or rush my order?
Yes, we are glad to overnight your order. Let us know on the proof agreement that you would like to expedite the shipping and we will let you know the charges. We may be able to rush your order through our system, depending upon our work load. Please contact us for more information.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do ship internationally. For international orders, we ask for a 5 week window in case of custom delays. We are not responsible for any custom dues, duties, taxes or tariffs a country might add to a international order. Please note that we can not track your shipment once it hits your borders and consider it shipped and received once it does. We work with a lot of international clients, so be aware that your receiving time can vary dramatically from one shipment to another as well as one country to another.

How do you ship?
We normally ship USPS priority with tracking and insurance. If you are an international client and would like us to ship UPS, we can do that for you as well.

Do you guarantee your work?
Yes, we guarantee our work and want you to fall in love with your invitations. When you receive your invitations, please look them over carefully. If something is not correct, please contact us immediately.

QUESTIONS SPECIFIC TO EACH STEP

One: Choose a Prepackaged Suite from our Look Book or Customize with a Professional Designer!

What do you mean in step one? Just as one invitation doesn’t fit every client, one way to shop does not either. We have constructed two ways to purchase your perfect invitations. 

Shop by Lookbook Saw the perfect invitation browsing through our lookbook? In this section, we have all the suites from the lookbook in an easy-to-purchase packages. Let us know how many invitation suites you need and add them to your cart. As with all our invitations, you will be able to add your own wording, change your colors and most likely change the fonts. Please note: Not all our invitations can have fonts changed. You can easily find out if this is possible on the product description page under fonts.

Have a custom design experience  Love what you saw but want a different package? Love the vibe of a certain collection but did not find the exact design? We showcase our all of our collections but not all our designs in the lookbooks. Just find your favorite design or collection and let us know which of the invitation components you might need. We will be glad to send you an estimate, other designs in that collection and talk over all your choices. Want an envelope liner or lace under-band as well? As with all our invitations, you will be able to add your own wording, change your colors, pick from different graphics in the collection and most likely change the fonts.

Why do all the invitations in one collection have the same colors?  We photographed our invitations with one color palette for our lookbooks.  This does not mean that those invitations have to be that color.As with all our invitations you can change your colors, add your own wording, and most likely change the fonts.

Two: Personalize Your Invitation
